Bollywood News: Kangana Ranaut to play Madhubala for Anurag Basu’s next?

Hot News: Gossip columns had been abuzz with the rumours that Anurag Basu was considering Katrina Kaif to essay the role of Madhubala for his next project which happens to be a biographical film on the legendry Kishore Kumar.

While the critics totally approved that Kats was an apt choice, there does seem to be some other candidates for the role. Rumors are making rounds that Kangana Ranaut has created impressions with her beauty and performance in ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and she is being considered for the role too.

It may be mentioned here that it was Basu who had launched Kangana in the tinsel town with ‘Gangster’. However, Kangana Ranaut and Anurag Basu had fallen out with each other when Ranaut had accused Basu in the media for slashing her role in ‘Kites’ but both seem to have made up with each other now.

While we feel that Katrina stands way ahead than Kangana in being the right choice to play Madhubala, who finally grabs the role, only time can tell………..

Bollywood News: Kangana’s salsa dance with Akshay Kumar

Kangna Ranaut is gearing up to salsa with Akshay Kumar in Eros International’s production Desi Boyz The actress wants to put her best foot forward for the dance piece, which will be choreographed by Bosco Caesar, and so she has already begun her coaching under salsa trainer Lakshya in Delhi.

She has also made arrangements to continue her training in Mumbai.

A source close to Ranaut said, “After she comes back, she is most likely to train with Sandip Soparrkar.”

The source added, “Kangna has loved to dance from childhood. In fact, she wanted to become a professional dancer.

Lekin industry mein aane ke baad usko dance karne ke roles nahin mila. Since she has got a role in Desi Boyz, where she can finally dance, she doesn’t want to go wrong.”

Kangana Ranaut shies away from wearing bikini

Kangana Ranaut was game to don a bikini for a scene in director David Dhawan’s comedy film Rascals, but backed out at the last minute. The shoot was being done in Thailand last week and the male co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan were ready for the scene in which Kangana was to emerge from the sea in nothing more than a sexybikini. Reportedly, Dhawan had discussed the scene with Kangana before and she had not just given her nod but also shopped for the bikini.

But when the time came for Kangs to slip into a two-piece she had second thoughts and refused to do the scene. Several reasons are being cited for her flip-flop. One is that she backed out after learning that in the scene Sanjay and Ajay were supposed to ogle at her. Another is that she was not comfortable in slipping into the two-piece because she has gained weight recently and did not want her flab to be seen.

Whatever the reason, we hear the shoot was stalled for hours after Kangana refused to wear the bikini despite persuasion by the director and co-stars. Not just that, she later left the Thailand shoot mid-way and flew down to Mumbai to promote her film Tanu Weds Manu.

Thankfully, the issue has now been sorted out and we hear that Kangana has at last agreed to wear the bikini.

R Madhvan Said Kiss Kangana Ranaut In Movie Tanu Weds Manu

After his smooch with Vidya Balan in Mani Ratnam’s Guru, Madhavan had said that he would not kiss on-screen again.

But in Tanu Weds Manu, the actor seems to have gone back on his words. He has done a liplock with co-star Kangna Ranaut.

In the film, he plays Manu, a guy from London who comes to India in search of a bride and falls in love with a small-town girl Tanu essayed by Kangna.

Explains director Aanand L Rai, “The sweetness of the scene required to be justified with a kiss. It’s a funny romantic situation, where Manu falls for Tanu and wants to marry her.”

However Maddy maintains, “I have not kissed in the movie!”

Apparently, the unassuming Maddy was apprehensive while shooting. He was uncomfortable puckering up his lips. Kangna, being an understanding co-star gauged his hesitation and made him comfortable.

The scene has Madhavan come to see Kangna before marriage. But she doesn’t want to marry him and turns up drunk to put him off. Yet he falls in love with her at first sight and indulges in a liplock!
