Lindsay Lohan Doing Community Service With Red Cross

Lindsay Lohan is doing her community service with a new organization. On Thursday sources stated the American Red Cross in Los Angeles explained that Lindsay Lohan is in fact doing her community service with the group.

The sources were not sure on what date she started or what type of work she is doing.

Lindsay Lohan was doing her community service at a women’s shelter in downtown Los Angeles before going to the Red Cross to assist them. Sources say she is actually doing a little bit of everything. A spokesperson for the actress couldn’t say why she wasn’t with the first organization the court assigned her to.

Right now, Lindsay is trying to get through her community service no matter what she does and get back to her own way of living. It has been quiet in the life of Lindsay Lohan for a change. Not a lot of partying and so forth going on.

Her family is proud of her for doing what she is doing with the Red Cross and at the women’s shelter and they are hoping the judge will see that too. Perhaps her mind has changed or matured some and she will be a totally different Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan Inks Billy Joel Lyrics On Ribcage

Lindsay Lohan is going to “Extremes” again!

The headline-making actress recently paid homage to her New York roots by tattooing the lyrics to Billy Joel’s iconic song, “I Go To Extremes,” on her ribcage.

Lindsay chose the lyrics, “Clear as a crystal sharp as a knife/I feel like I’m in the prime of my life,” from the singer’s 1989 song.

According to TMZ, the star got her tattoo at Los Angeles tattoo shop Shamrock Tattoos sometime this week.

A TMZ source said the words from the fellow New Yorker are important to the actress.

“It represented where she is in life and everything she’s been through,” the source said. “It signifies that she’s focused.”

Lindsay is a longtime fan of the singer and fond of his lyrics.

In May 2010, after the death of her uncle, she Tweeted, “Did Billy Joel curse us when he said, ‘Only the GOOD die young’?”

June 2009: Lindsay's name is thrown around in connection with a $400,000 jewel heist from a photoshoot for—you guessed it!—Elle magazine.

A pair of diamond earrings and a necklace lent to the magazine by the house of Dior mysteriously vanished sometime after Lohan's June 6 shoot. A spokesperson for Elle UK stated, "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."

Given Lohan's history, it was hard for outsiders not to speculate otherwise.

Hollywood News: Lindsay Lohan: I'm the Victim of a Witch Hunt

Lindsay Lohan believes prosecutor Danette Meyers is on a "witch hunt" against her, and is praying the Deputy D,A. makes good on what she asked the judge -- drop out of the case.

Sources in contact with Lindsay tell us ... Lindsay believes she's become a living, breathing press release for Meyers, who is running for L.A. County District Attorney.

There are several flaws in Lindsay's theory. First, Meyers asked Judge Stephanie Sautner Friday to remove her from the case. Since the judge knocked the felony charge down to a misdemeanor, Meyers assumed the case would be transferred to the L.A. City Attorney. But the judge noted the D.A. can still prosecute the case if it wants to ... so Meyer's request was denied.

Second flaw -- Meyers has prosecuted hundreds of big cases in her more than 2 decades as a prosecutor, is extremely well-respected, so she really doesn't need a misdemeanor theft case all that much.

Hollywood News: Lindsay Lohan to play Junior Gotti's wife

She called her casting in 'Gotti: Three Generations' a huge honor and told us on Wednesday that the film is an opportunity to prove herself as an actress again.

"I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lohan said.

John Travolta has been cast to play John Gotti Sr., the mob family's patriarch who had a flair for style and a knack for avoiding convictions that earned him the name "Teflon Don." Joe Pesci will play one of his deputies.

The younger Gotti has insisted he left the mob life in the 1990s, but has been unsuccessfully tried four times on racketeering charges.

He sold the rights to his life story to Fiore Films, which is developing the film focusing on Junior Gotti's relationship with his father. It will be shot in New York and is set for a 2012 release.

Lindsay Lohan made a surprise appearance at a press conference last week and was expected to be in the running to play the elder Gotti's daughter, Victoria. By Wednesday discussions for Lohan playing that role had ended, but the actress successfully lobbied to remain on the project.

"I think it's such an iconic story," Lohan told the AP. "I think it's a great story to be told. I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci."

Lohan's role as Kim Gotti has parallels to her own life, she said.

"You don't get to see the heart behind the story and the real side of people," she said of most mob movies, which she said veer toward shoot-'em-up fare. "I can relate to that because I think that I've been portrayed in a certain light. I just want to do my best to show what their family really went through."

Like the Gotti family, Lohan is no stranger to criminal troubles. She faces a felony grand theft case in Los Angeles after a jewellery store accused her of stealing a $2,500 necklace, and is due in court for a hearing on Friday.

She has rejected two plea deals in that case with guaranteed jail time, and could be incarcerated for violating her probation on a 2007 drunken driving case.

She said her legal troubles won't be a distraction.

"I think in the past, I had a lot of distractions," she said. "I've learned a lot. I've lived a lot. When I'm on set, it's about the film."

Fiore Films is making a commitment to Lohan, who is a former Disney child star and once headlined films, but for nearly four years has been known more for making the tabloids than acting.

In addition to the Gotti project, Lohan will also appear in 'Mob Street', a movie based on a screenplay by Chazz Palminteri.

"We're very pleased to have Lindsay on-board for both of these films," said Marc Fiore, who is executive producer of the 'Gotti' film. "She has been very enthusiastic about the Gotti project, and after resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment to the film and felt she would be the perfect Kim Gotti."

Lohan also said she is excited about filming in her native New York.

"The energy of filming there -- it just brings so much more life to the film," she said.

Believe it or not, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson got into yet another public fight last night while hanging out in New York City.

The “Mean Girls” hottie and her deejay lover were reportedly spotted in a skirmish as they left the Eldridge Lounge after attending Sam’s sister Charlotte Ronson’s fashion show afterparty.
