What to Watch Tonight: 'Teen Mom'

Forget Jenelle. You know you've been waiting to find out what's been going down with Amber Portwood and that apparent suicide attempt -- not to mention the arrest.

MTV knows it, too. That's why they've brought back the original cast of their hit reality docu-drama, "Teen Mom," featuring teen parents Maci, Amber, Catelynn, and Farrah, plus their respective baby daddies.

And this season, we can expect to see the babies (Bentley, Sophia, and Leah) hit their terrible twos as their parents start facing that early-20s angst.

Now that they're finally done with high school, Catelynn and Tyler decide to play grown-ups by getting an apartment together.

Still feeling stifled by her bossy mom, Debra, Farrah contemplates a major move -- that will take baby Sophia away from her grandparents and leave the single mom truly solo.

Maci's split with new beau Kyle, but her relationship with baby daddy (and first love) Ryan is rocky at best. Can the pair reconnect? Or at least get along well enough to keep the peace for baby Bentley?

Amber's relationship with long-suffering Gary is off-again -- thanks to her abusive (mentally and physically) behavior, which eventually lands her in jail. Will she lose custody of baby Leah? And was that apparent suicide attempt a big misunderstanding?

News: Here’s how to deal with Cricket World Cup madness

New Delhi, April 1: As anxiety builds up around Saturday’s India-Sri Lanka World Cup final, cardiologists have a word of advice for heart patients: Take medicine on time, ensure frequent breaks during the match and avoid snacks, alcohol, tea and coffee.

Kurnal Balbir Kalra, senior cardiologist at Artemis Hospital and general secretary of the Indian Academy of Eco-cardiology, said heart patients should not get too involved in the match.

“People suffering from heart rhythm abnormality, chest pain, blockage in heart and high blood pressure can suffer sudden cardiac arrest. Their blood pressure can shoot up and this can aggravate the pulse. So it a must for them to not get over-excited and control their behaviour,” Kalra told IANS.

“They should not get carried away. Another thing which is very important is that they should take their medicines on time and not delay them,” he added.

Short breaks are a must to avoid tension, said Bhavna Barmi, senior clinical psychologist at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre.

“It is advisable for them to not get emotionally involved in the game. They should also prepare themselves for the unexpected. It is very important for them to take breaks duringthe match,” Barmi told IANS.

“They should be cautious about their eating habits also. They shouldn’t munch too much of chips or have excess tea or coffee. They should also avoid aerated drinks or alcohol or heavy snacks while watchingthe match,” she added.

D.S. Gambhir, cardiologist and director of the Kailash Group of Hospitals, said apart heart patients, the tension can also affect others.

“During such intense matches excitement is high. A normal and healthy person can also suffer a cardiac arrest, so for those who have a weak heart it’s a crucial moment,” he said.

“They should refrain themselves from watching such matches but if they cannot, then they should take their medication on time. Reaction and over reaction towards a specific moment can cause problems. The best alternative for them is to listen to the running commentary on the radio or sit in another room and overhear the commentary.”

Heart patients should not watch the match in the stadium.

“Going to the stadium is not right option for them, they should avoid it completely.”

Asked if he had encountered such patients, Gambhir said: “Yes, I had attended to a patient a few years back who suffered from massivechest pain. He was a 42-year-old man. It happened in Dubai when Pakistan and India were playing and he suddenly developed chest pain. Fortunately, he was saved. It was my first encounter.”

Mukherjee says, “I have completed my script with all the finishing touches. And I am very satisfied with the outcome. The only problem is that I have been too busy with my other fashion-related assignments to take up the film.

Whenever I decide to start filming, I will approach Vidya and Rani for the parts. And fortunately, I share very special equations with both of them. And I know I can always bank on their support. We understand each others’ sensibilities very well.”

Mukherjee is at present busy with quite a few fashion shows including the finale at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in Delhi. He says, “You can understand what my state of mind will be right now. I am running around trying to come up with impressive and different collections for both the fashion weeks.”

Actress Sonakshi looks all set to replace Katrina Kaif.

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha have seemingly been using a whale of a time while shooting with each other for Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder’s film Joker.

Kangana Ranaut shies away from wearing bikini

Kangana Ranaut was game to don a bikini for a scene in director David Dhawan’s comedy film Rascals, but backed out at the last minute. The shoot was being done in Thailand last week and the male co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan were ready for the scene in which Kangana was to emerge from the sea in nothing more than a sexybikini. Reportedly, Dhawan had discussed the scene with Kangana before and she had not just given her nod but also shopped for the bikini.

But when the time came for Kangs to slip into a two-piece she had second thoughts and refused to do the scene. Several reasons are being cited for her flip-flop. One is that she backed out after learning that in the scene Sanjay and Ajay were supposed to ogle at her. Another is that she was not comfortable in slipping into the two-piece because she has gained weight recently and did not want her flab to be seen.

Whatever the reason, we hear the shoot was stalled for hours after Kangana refused to wear the bikini despite persuasion by the director and co-stars. Not just that, she later left the Thailand shoot mid-way and flew down to Mumbai to promote her film Tanu Weds Manu.

Thankfully, the issue has now been sorted out and we hear that Kangana has at last agreed to wear the bikini.

Viacom18 announces the release of nine films in 2011-12

Viacom18 Motion Pictures has announced the release of nine films during the year 2011-12. The company says it has 10 to 12 movies in its kitty,and will be the leader in film industry this and coming year.

Viacom is making diverse films this time.It is making romantic comedies,action,thrillers,drama and lot more.Out of 12,nine have already been finalised and are at various stages of development and production.

R Madhvan Said Kiss Kangana Ranaut In Movie Tanu Weds Manu

After his smooch with Vidya Balan in Mani Ratnam’s Guru, Madhavan had said that he would not kiss on-screen again.

But in Tanu Weds Manu, the actor seems to have gone back on his words. He has done a liplock with co-star Kangna Ranaut.

In the film, he plays Manu, a guy from London who comes to India in search of a bride and falls in love with a small-town girl Tanu essayed by Kangna.

Explains director Aanand L Rai, “The sweetness of the scene required to be justified with a kiss. It’s a funny romantic situation, where Manu falls for Tanu and wants to marry her.”

However Maddy maintains, “I have not kissed in the movie!”

Apparently, the unassuming Maddy was apprehensive while shooting. He was uncomfortable puckering up his lips. Kangna, being an understanding co-star gauged his hesitation and made him comfortable.

Pritam to compose for ‘Dhoom 3′

After giving memorable music in “Dhoom” and “Dhoom 2″, Pritam Chakraborty has again been roped in to compose for the third movie in the popular franchise by Yash Raj Films.

The composer is quite thrilled about the association.”It’s always great working with YRF and even more so on something as iconic as ‘Dhoom’. It is a great feeling that the music has lived on with the franchise and the two are inseparable. ‘Dhoom machaenge’ once more,” Pritam said in a press statement.
Pritam, who is also popular for his soulful as well as peppy numbers in films like “Jab We Met”, “Life In A…Metro” and “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai”, was an obvious choice for “Dhoom 3″, says director Vijay Krishna Acharya a.k.a. Victor.
“Pritam is not just a chart-blazing music director but an integral part of the ‘Dhoom’ series. It’s going to be super working with him,” he said.

It's official: Aamir Khan will be the villain in Dhoom:3

It's official now - Aamir Khan has signed on for Yash Raj Film's 'Dhoom 3' and he's playing a villain in it. Aamir signed on for the role last night (Feb 1) after months of talks with Aditya Chopra, who first approached him with the role.

'Dhoom 3' will of course have the regulars played by Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. And Aamir will turn bad boy in the tradition of John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in the first two 'Dhoom' movies.

So what made the experimental Aamir sign on for the super commercial franchise that is 'Dhoom'? Well, it seems he was very impressed with the script and also the way he his character in particular was written and also styled. The star is already working on his look in the movie with Aditya Chopra. The movie will release in late 2012.

Katrina Kaif Making Enemies In The Industry

Katrina Kaif may be the darling of one of the biggest production houses of Bollywood - Yash Raj Films - but, she has been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way recently.

Katrina Kaif refused films with Anees Bazmee - Thank You, Abbas Mustan - The Italian Job remake, and now she has said no to Prakash Jha - Aarakshan, who gave her the super hit Raajneeti. Katrina had signed the film soon after the release of her multi-starrer box-office hit Rajneeti directed by Prakash Jha. Aarakshan is a political thriller that focuses on issues of reservation.

Filming is scheduled to start at the end of 2010 in Bhopal. The film additionally co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan.

Katrina is known to be very professional. However, of late she has been committing to projects and then backing out. It all started with Anees Bazmee's Thank You which she had agreed to doing, but opted out at the last minute. Anees was furious but kept quiet.

Then, Abbas-Mustan waited for eight months to start shooting, only to have her walk out of their film. The director duo blasted her in print. Now she has walked out of Prakash Jha's Aarkshan which she had agreed to do earlier. This has shocked Jha but he is maintaining a dignified silence.

Katrina is making enemies in the industry. All these directors have given her hit films. Bazmee gave her Welcome and Singh is Kinng when she was a nobody. The competition is heating up with Sonam, Deepika and Sonakshi, but Katrina seems to be on a different trip altogether.

Katrina will soon begin filming for Yash Raj Film's next project with co-stars Imran Khan and Ali Zaffar. The film is helmed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar.

Katrina Kaif To Get Tattoo

The prettiest lady in tinsel town is set to get inked. Katrina Kaif will be sporting a grungy look in the Yash Raj Film's next venture that will have her paired with Imran Khan for the first time.

Zafar is a debutant director who will be directing the actress along with Imran Khan in Yashraj's next untitled venture. The charming actress is donning an edgy look for it.
Tattoos are forever but the actress is not willing to get inked for life. Katrina Kaif will play a rebel in the film sporting a grungy punk look. And to add spice to her image, the director has asked her to get abstract tattoos inked.

For this Ali Abbas had shortlisted 20-25 designs, and Katrina chose abstract designs over animals or human sketches which would go with her rebsellious character. But as said, the tattoos will be for temporary purpose.

The commercial, in a funny way, shows Tata Sky's new feature which allows customers a subscription holiday once a year. Like his previous avatars, Aamir once again seems completely in character as he plays a milkman who argues with a customer who is willing to pay for only the days he was in town. Aamir in turn explains that the cow who gives milk doesn't know that the customer was on vacation and hence asks him to pay for the whole month's milk supply.

Priyanka ready for race 2

After a great review and good response to Race, director duo Abbas-Mustan and producer Ramesh Taurani (Tips) are set to return with its sequel. The casting of Race 2 has been a much talked about in the industry. Buzz was that Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham were a part of the project while the leading ladies were yet to be decided.

But the latest gossip is that Priyanka Chopra has been signed for one of the leading roles.

Confirming this, producer Ramesh Taurani says,

“Yes Priyanka Chopra has been finalized for Race 2 while we are still on the look out for 2 more heroines.” On being asked, whom the actress was paired opposite, Taurani said, “That you will have to wait and watch as Race 2 is also full of twists and turns.”

The director also confirmed that Saif is a part of the project denying all rumours that he had quit. He along with Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, and now Priyanka Chopra are the actors who are confirmed on board.
