I am not the person more than crossword puzzles. I love puns and anecdotes, but I just grabbed crosswords. Therefore, I am a little surprised to see how much I enjoyed playing crosswords CRUX HD [4.99].
Maybe that's the way it captures the feel of playing on paper without all the things that go with the disorder in the role play. You can not beat the aesthetics, with each set arranged in a newspaper page with a virtual source of sound into their own hands. I can almost smell the ink, while reading this part.
Or maybe all the useful features soon. You can write in pencil or pen mode, so you know what answers you're sure, and is still uncertain. When you select a cell, you can see both the path that passes through in an instant. If you get close, but can not choose an answer, please take the opportunity to enter up to twelve rebus choice per cell. If you're really hard, you can configure the game to check your answers or be cell lines or the whole shebang. It saved me a trip ashamed of Google in a couple of times.
As a beginner, a list of sources baffles me a bit. CRUX is a list of about 30 sources, divided by U.S. and British style puzzles. Some (of the New York Times and Telegraph) require subscriptions to their respective departments of crosswords, which is expected. But I like to see a little more information about sources. If People magazine, more or less difficult as a jigsaw puzzle Onion AV Club? Washington Post or puzzle? That's more or less trial and error for me, but if you know your business, the rich list of sources must be very satisfying.
