Applause And Whistles

Applause And Whistles
Every Saturday on its editorial page, Farewell to news that makes our region a better place to live and laugh at those whose actions deserve contempt.

CHEERS: All persons involved in the assembly of a large air show in Millville Airport today. Last-minute loss to the Blue Angels was a great shock, this highly anticipated event, but we ask you to keep your plans to attend today and Sunday. There is still plenty to see and enjoy, both on site and in the sky of Millville.

CHEERS: to our men and women of law enforcement. We are thinking of them today we are considering this week a terrible accident in Bridgeton. Soldier killed the man as a man with a gun. This guy was about to kill a police officer, and this soldier was just doing his job to protect and serve. He makes every moment of his life, and none of us can not imagine what it must feel. Our police officers to deal with this possibility every day when they go to work. We thank them for their service and wish everyone a safe holiday weekend.

Cheers: Cumberland County for the best high school students who have honored the commitment and dedication this week for learning. It is often said, we must do more to tell the success of youth in the community, and we believe that we have the time to share stories. Academic Excellence banquet is the perfect opportunity to highlight all the right schools.

CHEERS: For slopes. Our Cumberland County College students graduated last week, and high schools to organize the opening exercises next month. Through all the celebrating, we hope that the completion of a safe and festive season, an auto accident and violence free.

CHEERS: to the fact that we are still here for a week after the expected date of the Court have read the message boards, and in this document. Tips to promote the end of last week - Harold Camping - has shifted its forecast is 21 October. Some people can really listen to this guy for the third time?

Spit: That the policy of zero tolerance in our schools. We are aware of schools facing win situations where young people begin to point fingers, but just threw all parties concerned - without making the effort necessary detective work to get to the bottom of a controversy - is a cop. Take the time to talk with students and parents before making the justice that can ruin the student's academic career. The main point is to jump on these issues early - before they become full scale fiasco.

Cheers: To all who take time this holiday weekend to remember our brave men and women who have not returned from the war. Respect for their sacrifice by attending a service or procession. If you can not do that, you say a prayer for them - and those who still serve us in times of war today.
