It's Official: Gene Simmons And Shannon Tweed Wedding Invite!
Ready to enjoy the wedding of the year.
After 28 years together, bassist Gene Simmons of KISS and Shannon Tweed are getting married.
The two fans left hanging on the season finale of A & E reality show "Gene Simmons: Family Jewels" when the footage showed Simmons popping the question while vacation in Belize. The show teased Tweed that answer will be revealed when the show returns on Oct. 4.
But People.com has received an invitation to the wedding, which is set for Oct. 1 (three days before the new season of "Jewels" materials) at the Hotel Beverly Hills.
Sounds like a splendid love.
The invite comes in two parts:
The first part reveals the details of the big day, asking that the "classic cocktail attire" to be passed (although the invitation to the states, "We know that some of Rockstar is the dress worn").
The second part is a sweet message to the couple's children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19. He mocks the previous fights of their parents. He said: "After 28 years of two single chains, our parents finally decided to marry." He continues: "There will be no team or a team of Tweed Simmons, but a team of Tweed-Simmons, and what it is, unfortunately, we hope you're at it."
Simmons, 62, plays bass guitar in the band KISS (hits including "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Night"). Tweed has appeared in "Playboy" in 1980 and has had leading roles in low budget films like "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death" and "despised."
