Travis Pastrana Breaks Foot, Ankle At X Games

Travis Pastrana Breaks Foot, Ankle At X Games
It 'a trick Travis Pastrana has tried to land for many years.
But Thursday, at X Games 17 in downtown Los Angeles, action sports stars have failed again and, worse, broke his right foot and ankle in the process, putting in doubt his participation in other events this weekend.
His injury occurred during the Moto X best trick finals when Pastrana crash-landed on an earthen ramp at the Staples Center, after trying to twist and turn his dirt bike 720 degrees in the air, something that called a "roll of toilet paper."
He had to be helped off the field and X-rays at a nearby hospital later revealed the injury.
It is not known whether it can participate in the Moto X Freestyle Friday night or Sunday event RallyCross Rally Car
Pastrana also unclear whether it will be able to run in a test of NASCAR Nationwide Series event in Indianapolis on Saturday, as planned.
"I spent last week in his place, and spend time with him and his coach, I realized how much time and effort he put into this thing," said Josh Sheehan, who was a bronze in the Moto X Best Trick event. "I'm really bummed for him because he was so close."
Fort Jackson won the gold medal in the event with the first front flip in its history.
His score of 95.66 was enough for him on the edge of Cameron Sinclair (94.66) and Sheehan (93.33).
